As incoming President of your Greater Chicago ASSE, I would like to personally invite you to an on-site Technical Meeting and Lunch Cookout at our Great Lakes Terminal and Transport facility in Bedford Park, Illinois. The meeting will be held on 6/12/12 at 11:30 am.
We are limited on the number of visitors, so we ask to register early. (I'll be sending out an E-VITE soon).
Until 2004, this facility doubled as our Chemical Bulk Liquid Terminal but now solely focuses on:
- Bulk Transportation of Hazardous Material Liquids
- Tractor/Trailer/Cargo-Tank Maintenance
- Leased Rail Road Sidings
During the one-hour presentation, you will get an overview on Fleet Safety from our VP of Transportation, Dave Strein. Dave has over 35-years of industry experience and has been instrumental in managing the fleets at Great Lakes Terminal and Transport, GLS Transport and Composites One LLC. In addition, Plant Manager Terry Kolacki will provide an overview of the Safety Programs in place for both the Fleet and the Maintenance Garage. Terry has 26 years experience storing and moving bulk liquid hazardous materials. It is also worth noting that Terrry is an excellent cook and will be preparing Steak Sandwiches, Chicken Sandwiches and Hot-Dogs on the grill.
We certainly hope you can make it, but in order to plan appropriately, we ask you to register early!. Dave, Terry and I will ensure the food and information is top notch! Please let me know if you have any questions. I will send out additional information concerning parking, directions and policy as we get closer to the 6/12/12 date. Again, the Evite will go out shortly.

Greater Chicago Chapter Outreach Program
The Greater Chicago Chapter Outreach Program is a great opportunity to share your knowledge with students of high school age within an area of your choosing. The program target students who will either be going out into the work world to provide them with the knowledge of better to keep themselves safe within their workplace. The program will also highlight the benefits of a high school student pursuing a career in safety.
