| CHAPTER OUTSTANDING MEMBER AWARD NOMINATION CRITERIA The Greater Chicago Chapter wants to recognize those persons within the Greater Chicago Chapter who have taken an extra initiative to become involved in Chapter activities. Nominating criteria is necessary in order to be consistent in awarding those persons who are deserving of recognition. Awards will be presented to Members at the last Chapter Year meeting held in June for nominations accepted during the previous Chapter year. The Award honors outstanding contributions that have promoted the Greater Chicago Chapter and ASSE, demonstrated leadership and excellence in the safety field, in either a paid or unpaid capacity. Candidates - whose effectiveness and purpose have improved Chapter activities - will be considered. For example, they may have identified needs for change and found innovative solutions in improving meeting attendance, improving communication, tracking finances, etc. Up to Five awards may be given annually to candidates chosen from within the Greater Chicago Chapter. Nomination Procedure Any Greater Chicago Chapter Member may submit nominations for the Chapter Outstanding Member Award.
